Tom Tomorrow
is worth doing the daily pass for. If you don't want to do that, it will be at Working For Change tomorrow.

I'm really surprised
thatthe RNC Karl Rove didn't find a way to freeze Reagan's body and drag it out to announce his death at the time of the Democratic National Convention. (Don't give me that stuff. You know I'm not nice.)
Maybe all of Nancy Reagan's pleading/suggesting/lobbying the present administraion to allow for stem cell research that fell on deaf ears made her a tad uncooperative. Ahhh, well. We should have known that the administration is more interested in pandering to its base than to doing medical research.

Sometimes I Write Fiction
under one of my many names. Some of it may have a political bent. This is a piece that I like very much.

Frank Lautenberg, Hero du Jour
(Yeah, it's French. Wanna make something of it?)
On the Senate floor he referred to Our Vice President as the "lead Chickenhawk." His remarks were accompanied by a nicely done sketch of said Chickenhawk. And just in case somebody missed the point, he defined the chickenhawk as "having the shriek of a hawk but the backbone of a chicken."
Nicely done. It's about time somebody got a backbone.

First Person March Report
with lots of homemade pics from Unreal City. You've seen the news. Now read a real person's reactions.

Hi There Boys and Girls
I have moved my residence and even unpacked enough stuff so that I can cook and bathe. Books are another matter. They will have to wait until more shelving appears and the spirit moves me.
In the meanwhile I have buried myself in Richard Clarke's book. I won't tell you where to buy it. I'm sure you can figure that out for yourself. But I must say that it is a much better read than I expected, not at all droning and bureaucratic. And Condi testifies tomorrow. An abundance of riches.
Y'all take care and don't let up on the bad guys. See you soon.

I'm Glad
to see that they are cracking down on indecency on television. Maybe we will see less of the Rovian contingent from now on. Oh, that isn't what they mean by indecent?

Sasha Sighting
No, I wasn't swallowed up by the new year. I am, however, being forced to move. My lease will not be renewed because my lovely ethnic neighborhood is being gentrified. Mine will be the fifth house on the block to be gutted, have a new interior slapped into it in about four weeks, and be sold at an exhorbitant price. I suppose that eventually the new owners will figure out that the electrical system is totally inadequate and that the drains are the slowest in the western hemisphere, but by then the current owner will be long gone.
I will return after I move. In the meanwhile keep up the pressure on Our Leader. encourage Ralph to go home and vote for the Democratic candidate, and vote vote vote.
