Nathan Newman newly added to the linkage column has a thoughtful piece on why the peace movement has not been effective. He points to the fact that we talk mostly to ourselves and do very little outreach.

I know the media and the tone of the times do not make outreach easy, but those facts make it more critical that we reach those who are not naturally tapped into our voices. Today I do not know how we make ourselves better heard, but it is essential that we do.
