Ari's Replacement
The news has been out for about eight hours now so surely you know that Ari Fleischer, White House Spinmeister, will be resigning his post shortly. It has been a tough road but the job seemed to suit. He stonewalled with the best of them, lied easily and persistently, even talked about potatoes invading the United States with a straight face. This really is one tough job, especially when working for an administration as secretive as this one is.

Of course within a short time I got an email suggesting a wager. The sender wanted to put his totally legal matchsticks on Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Torie Clark but I'm not so sure. Even though she has demonstrated her ability to take the heat, it seems to me that her loud attire might prove distracting around the White House.
