TIA
Remember the Total Information Awareness project that scared the pants off of everybody? (Get your minds out of the gutter.) Well boys and girls, it is no longer a problem. Because DARPA renamed it. Now it is Terrorism Information Awareness. What right-minded citizen could have a problem with that?

In case you aren't convinced "The old name "created in some minds the impression that TIA was a system to be used for developing dossiers on U.S. citizens. That is not DoD's (the Department of Defense's) intent," DARPA said.
The goal is "to protect U.S. citizens by detecting and defeating foreign terrorist threats before an attack" and the new name was chosen "to make this objective absolutely clear."

See you just had the impression that there were dossiers on U.S. citizens when in fact there were ... well who knows but it is good for you.
