Nostalgia

It is a beautiful early autumn day, 80 degrees with that clear blue sky you all remember from the 9/11 films. A soft breeze is barely moving the leaves. At the vegetable stand a few tomatoes remain amongst the late peaches, winter squash, and eleven varieties of apples. Football is on the radio blasting out of car windows proudly bearing their newly retrieved Redskin flags.

It would be a perfect day were it not for that tinge of sadness at the passing of summer. I'll take it out on the bad guys and the idiots when I go to vote on Tuesday.
